Plaid Heavens

Wear Winter white with a pop of red and navy blue blue for an airy Winter attire.

 Sweater- UNIF

 Dress- Forever 21

 Coat- Similar

So after a super long break, I’ve finally come back to my usual full time blogging. If you follow me on

Instagram, you’d see that I have been all over the place visiting family for the holidays and also in the
midst of completing a personal collection for my portfolio.
Its been hectic for sure but I definitely missed blogging. I back from the warmth of Jamaica and smacked
in the middle of this crazy Winter in New York. This look is one of the first I wore thus far since being
back and its a been of a clean almost all white look for the dramatics of blending in with that pure white
of the snow.
I’m wearing my cozy UNIF  sweater from last season, layered on top of this beautiful lacey dress and tons
of other unseen layers underneath that actually allowed me to weather this look without freezing
completely to death. I added the touch of the plaid as an extra layer for warmth and also to give the look
a bit of colour.
I can’t wait to share a lot of Winter looks and I hope where ever in the world you are, keep warm!

Walking Dreamer

Black and lace has always been such a go-to look for me…whether during the Summer, Fall or Winter. One weekend in Brooklyn I decided to go for a dark witchy look, with enough chiffon pleats and a feminine aura.
I almost never wear midi length skirts because it can sometimes come off a bit awkward looking on me but, when I found this skirt about a month ago in Forever 21 I was pretty surprised that the length didn’t bother me as much…its slowly becoming one of my favourite piece in my closet.

Lace Top- Nasty Gal
Pleated Skirt- Forever 21
Though I’m currently revamping my style and closet, this was a look I wore few weeks ago while prancing around Williamsburg in Brooklyn. It was very sunny yet I’m not quite sure what possessed me  to wear a full on black attire. However, the fact that everything I had on was very lightweight and airy, made it so much easier for me to go through the day without sweating like a pig.
I kept it pretty low key on the accessories because I really wanted the beauty of the lace to speak for itself rather than overpowering everything with loads of jewelry. So since I had a bit of a low cut top, it was only right to add a bit of a statement piece around my neckline as the main accessory.
Anywhos, I’m back to being super busy as I’m back in school again, finishing up my BFA p.s I already got a bolt load of homework!
For any of my followers back in school, wishing you the best of luck and thanks for visiting!

Questioning The Exsistents

I’ll always find comfort in wearing black and white…such a great way to put together a classic polished look.

White Cardigan- Similar
Pants- Zara
Amaya Boots- Miista from Solestruck
I shot this look so long ago that I completely forgot about it until now. I’m wearing my favorite white lace crop top with a slightly slouchy fit pants to bring balance to the look. I actually wore this look one day for my internship except, I switched out the shoes for more flat comfy ones since I’d be running around on my feet all day. However, I love the unexpected addition of green boots to this look, as the pop of color brings a little more interest to the beautiful yet simplistic attire of just the black and white.
As you may, or may not know…I’m a fashion designer in the making but I haven’t quite showed that side of me that much here on my blog. For the next few weeks and possibly the rest of the year I’ll be working on a personal project regarding the designer aspect of my life which sadly means..I’ll be cutting down on making daily blogs. Now listen, I’m not quiting! lol “a quitter never wins” but I’m just focusing more on building up my caliber and making that side of me more known that just being “the personal style blogger”. I’ll definitely be sharing my journey here on the blog with possible videos and I’ll still update on the outfits that I wear. So I thank those who have riding with me on this blogging journey thus far and I really can’t wait to show more of my designer side to you all. Hope you had a great weekend!

Electric Avenue

Taking my usual all black attire with a Summer approach.

Top- Nasty Gal
Short- Similar
Shoes- Forever 21
Necklace- Jamaica

I finally back with a new post and I couldn’t be more happy to share this graphic black and white ensemble to kick off the week. In the early stages of blogging, I’d always wear graphic and band tees…I still do but not as much as I would at one point. What intrigues me with this top is the marble effect where the white details are printed, which somehow reminds me of lightning.
I paired the top but tucking it into one of my favorite pair of shorts right now. Though the shorts is pretty much a classic black shorts, the touch of lace around the hemline really brings something interesting  to the look and is perfection to me since I’ve been so obsessed with lace all summer long.
For me, adding that touch of color through my accessories help to elevate the look a little without overpowering the beauty of the top. Just a quick update with me, I recently started a new internship so I’ve been super busy fitting in “fun time” in my schedule but I’m making it work as best as I can…I’ve been doing a lot of exploring in Brooklyn and have been documenting it so I’ll be sure to post those photos here on my blog very soon. Hope you all have a lovely week!

The Place I Call Home

One of the first days I spent back home in Jamaica. My aim was to keep it clean and simplistic.

Shorts- Forever 21
Shoes- Nasty Gal
Necklace- Tilly’s

Ahh it feels like forever since my last post. I’ve been in a bit of a funk for awhile now resulting in me not wanting to really be in front of the camera. However, I’m trying to snap out of it and get back to posting regularly because I truly miss it.
When I went back home to Jamaica for my week trip, I managed to shot a two looks and this one is the first of the two which I love because of its clean touch and possesses a resort inspired aura. You’ll probably seen me wear the top is a previous post (here), I loved it so much that I chose to style it once again with my loose fitting abstract shorts that was perfectly in black and white. I kept it simple with my  flat back sandals that I’ve been wear a whole lot all Summer…(definitely need to stop wearing them for awhile). I added a statement necklace since the top was a bit subtle, sadly the necklace is now completely destroyed from being crushed in my luggage on my way back to New York…so now I’m currently on the hunt for something very similar.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll get back to posting daily very soon!

Swear My Promises To The Sky

Top- Necessary Clothing (Similar)
Shorts- Forever 21
Boots- Miista from Solestruck
Lace, lace and more lace! I think I’ve officially developed a lace obsession, there are so many lace pieces that are creeping up in my closet and slowly taking over….I cant help myself.
This white lace top from Necessary Clothing is pure perfection and possibly the lightest and most delicate item I own right now. When I first received it, I wasn’t quite sure what I’d pair it with but now I have so many idea for the summer on how I could style it for a warm weather. For this look, I wanted to incorporate a bit of colour since there’s possibly been a lack of colour on my blog for a minute..soo I wore a plaid pajama looking shorts that’s light and airy with lace detailing along the hem line.
To be honest, I’m not usually the type to wear shorts like these and I use to think anyone who wears these are pretty lazy but here I am.. eating my words because I’m definitely going to be living in these shorts this Summer because they are literally the most comfortable clothing ever..shorts of my dreams! And if navy blue and red plaid wasn’t enough for me, I then decided to finally debut my forest green boots with lucid heels from my favourite shoes company, Miista. For some reason, in the pictures the shoes came out looking a bit metallic which I absolutely love but the forest green in person looks really beautiful and great for both Summer and Fall. Oh, and in case you’re wondering..these photos were taken on my new roof top
Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below and I hope you have a great week!

Unrequited Love

Casual Fridays.

Peasant Top- Vintage
Lace Blouse- Express
Boots- Coltrane by Jeffrey Campbell
Necklace- Nasty Gal
It’s funny how I’ve been finding all these lost treasure in my closet since packing everything up to move out of my current apartment, for example this vintage peasant top that I’ve had for so long but somehow reappeared one day. I love tops like these because there is something so delicate and feminine about it that makes it so perfect for experimenting with. I could see myself dressing up this top for maybe a date, dinner or a night out with friends likewise, it’s that piece that can easily transition into a daytime look.
Since I’ve been so obsessed with wearing lace lately, I thought that wearing this buttoned up lace top from Express as like a short sleeve cardigan would add so much more depth and detail to this look and it light enough for a hot summer’s day…definitely going to be wearing this black lace top a lot this summer. I kept it pretty casual with my favourite pair of chunky boots and ankled length pants because I somehow always pull for boots when all else fails!

The Scent Of Magic

Top- Express
Pants- Zara
Shoe- UNIF

Giving a slightly business casual for today’s post. This is a look a wore awhile back when I was heading out for lunch with some friends and I wasn’t really going to post this look on here as I feel there was nothing much to it but later decided because I love how easygoing and laidback this outfit is. I’ve been wearing a lot of cami tops lately since it’s been much warmer here in the city, I feel as if they’re the perfect type of tops to wear when you just need to get dress quickly and go and they’re lightweight so it’s definitely essential for this Spring/Summer season. With a baggy trouser and and my favourite UNIF boots, I was able to whip this look together feeling very comfortable all day.

Awake My Soul

Everything Vintage
Cardigan- Necessary Clothing
Shoe- Jeffrey Campbell Teeter

Compared to yesterday’s look…today’s post is a lot different. For today’s look, I’m pretty much looking like a “grunge school girl who’s secretly a badass witch” haha. I mixed both new and vintage pieces together that was able to bring this entire look alive. The lace top I’m wearing, use to be one of my ultimate ‘go-to’ tops back in 2008 I just loved the sheering details across the the shoulder and along the hem line, making it sort of like a pleasant top. Though I don’t usually fancy this type of silhouette in a blouse, something about this one seems much more pleasing to me and adding that sheer sleeve layering underneath just gives it that grungy vibe. The plaid skirt I’m wearing is actually one that I’ve shared here on the blog already (here) but as you can see, I ended up cutting up shorter into a mini skirt. I decided to cut it because it was at an awkward length which caused me to stay away from styling it for a very long time but I love the length now and it allows me to get that knee high fall look going. Hope you like today’s post..feel free to comment down below and tell me what you think.
