Spring Love

Dress- Forever 21
Bag- Nasty Gal
Sandals- Nasty Gal

Showing a much softer and feminine side on me for the first post of the week. Lately, I’ve been really into wearing off-white and a more softer palette since this Spring season start. I love this look because it’s a very elegant look but still casual enough for a perfect transition from day to night time. I scooped this dress up a few weeks back while browsing through Forever 21 and I really didn’t think I’d find anything in there because majority their clothes have been pure florals which I know my closet didn’t need anymore of. I though the little lace details that were added to this dress just made it sheer perfection because it was just the right amount of lace otherwise, it would have probably end up looking cheap. Since it was a bit breezy that day, I paired a simple white cardigan over the dress which made a great compliment to the off white of the dress.
I have lots more great Spring/Summer inspired looks coming up later this week and I’m pretty excited to share them here!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/spring break, mine was mainly filled with catching up on class assignments with a tad bit of fun time. Have an amazing day

Immorality Iris

White “Amador Dress”- Nasty Gal
Shoes- Deandri White “Tequila” (Solestruck)
Evil Eye Earring- Nasty Gal
Another white on white combination! Since the first time I did an all white look (here), I’ve been literally dying to do another one. I named this post “Immorality Iris” because it’s actually a name of a white flower that only blooms once during the spring and also in the early fall. So I thought the name was a perfect description because the Fall season is almost here so I needed to post another all white late summer inspired look. This dress from Nasty Gal is literally the most comforting dress I own in terms of it being really flowy and girly without showing too much skin, but still flirty enough to be considered sexy. Of course, I chose to pair it with my white Deandri tequila boots because it completed my whole all white styling. To tie the whole look together, I added small pops of colour in my jewelry. I’m definitely going to give a third shot at an all white look in the fall so be on the look out for that. Thanks to Jim Vuong of Dancing In My Dreams, he has such an amazing and impeccable style so go check out his Tumblr page!

Holy Grail

Shorts- Nasty Gal
Plaid Muscle Top- DIY
Shoes- UNIF Grail Platforms (Dolls Kill)
Lately, I’ve been channeling and experimenting with different styles and sort of bringing back and mixing a little of my old style with a bit of the new. I think that’s one of the most unique things about “personal style”, it’ll pretty much always evolve. A lot of times when I’m searching for unique tops I’ll literally look for very simply silhouettes with very intricate back detailing, why? Well, I’m the type of person who will literally wear the back of a top as the front of the top just because I think the back detailing has so much more interest. An example of this is seen in this post where I took one of my mother’s tops and decided to wear the cut out details of the back of the blouse, towards the front. I wanted to go for more of a “punky downtown girl” look so I added some plaid detailing to frame the silhouette of the outfit and to give that extra depth to the whole look.

Velvet Barbie

Evil Barbie Crop Top- Dolls Kill
Velevt Dress worn as a skirt- Forever 21
Shoes- Deandri Hansel from Solestruck
Earring- Nasty Gal
For a while, I’ve been waiting to share this barbie crop top but every time I came around to it something always came up. Couldn’t be more happy to start off the beginning of the week with this post. I’ve been so in love with velvet for as long as I can remember so when I came across this dress in forever 21 a few weeks ago, I knew it was possibly heaven sent. There is something about velvet that captures both this very vintage feel and somehow reminds me of a creepy 90s vampire movie. Along with this look, came three different hairstyles…sorry I was literally being very indecisive. I had this whole idea to have a braided crown that I clearly did in the first picture!… but, then I decided I didn’t like it as much as I did in my head so typically me had to change it two different times until I was like “whatever”, ha. Anyways, enjoy this post! have a great week.

Grunge In Paradise

Top- New Look
Shorts- Nasty Gal
Shoes- Creepers
Sunglasses- Zero UV

So I finally get to update you guys on my vacationing back home in Jamaica! I’m so happy to be back, and I forgot how much I missed not being in the busy city life. This outfit is probably one of the more grungy looks I’ve worn so far since being in Jamaica and I have to say my most favourite part of this look is the shorts! This is actually my first time wearing high waisted cut off shorts and to be honest, I’ve sworn to myself I’d never wear them but I have to say these are such an amazing fit! They’re from Nasty Gal and I absolutely love the front zipper detail of it. Also, I changed my hair color like a day after arriving here and it’s now like burgundy/red at the top and more of a dark brown at the back….Love it! I’ll take better pics of it and upload them as soon as I can. It’s really hard to update here but I’ll try as best as possible.

White Noise

Super Hero Muscle Tee- Milky Way Clothing (Necessary Clothing)
Faux Leather Circle Skirt- Nasty Gal
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
DIY Muscle Blouse
White Sunnies- Zero UV
Necklace- Street Fair
Tattoo Choker- The Cobra Shop

So you know how much I love wearing black and white looks and this was a totally unplanned black and white look I came up with last minute after being unable to find anything to wear that day. I’ve had this long sleeve white blouse with the faux leather collar for the longest time and I believe I only wore it once on the blog (Previous Post) and I didn’t really like the fit of the sleeves at all. It was big and no matter how much I’d ironed it, it would still get so crushed really easily because it was always  wobbling all over the place so, because of that, it’s been sitting in my closet ever since up until the day I decided to take a scissor and chop the sleeves off like I do with most of my tops with sleeve hahaha I’m evil. I have to say, I like the very imperfection of the way the sleeves were cut which gives it a very grunge feeling. I didn’t want to button it up because I wanted to add something graphic underneath so what better way to do that, than to wear my super hero tee! To tight the look together, I wore my faux leather skirt to match the leather collar on the blouse. In other news, Google Reader is closing so I’d love if you could follow me on BLOGLOVIN please…I’m so appreciative of all the readers I’ve gained and I wouldn’t want to lose you. Thank you!

Its A Black Out Blur

Black and Gold Embroidery High Neck Top- Dressbarn
Black Mini Dress- Thrifted
 Pants- Nasty Gal
Sunglasses- Zero UV
I’m so happy I decided to finally wear this top that was actually passed down to me from my mother. I don’t exactly know what I was waiting for before I wore but I’m glad I finally got the chance to style it. I did practically what I always do by pairing it with simple pieces that could be styled easily with it. I wore this slightly sheer dress I found hiding in the thrift shop and knew it would be perfect to go with the amazing embroidery details of the top. I feel like there is no going wrong with a black and gold combination unless, its obnoxiously over done from head to toe. I have so many ideas on other ways of styling this top and I’ll be sure to share that with you very soon. My finals will be over by Monday so I’ll be posting much more regular again! Have a great weekend.
